Nationwide Ground Freight Shipping

We ship to any home, business or job site...anywhere in the continental U.S.A. All orders are fabricated, packaged and shipped from our national distribution center in Miami, Florida. Most orders ship 2 - 4 weeks from day your order is processed.

When your order SHIPS, a notification e-mail will be sent to you along with a tracking number and the name of the carrier that will be delivering your order. At that point in time, you can contact the carrier directly (it takes about 2 minutes) and schedule a specific delivery date. By doing so, you will have advance notice of when they will be arriving at your home or business.

United Iron Work USA uses the following carriers for shipping:


ABF Freight www.abf.com - fence panels, posts, gates and accessories
Roadway www.roadway.com - fence panels, posts, gates and accessories
UPS - standard www.ups.com - small orders for short posts or accessories only.
Fence panels, gates and large posts cannot be shipped via UPS.


You must visit your carrier's website within 24 hours after receiving your tracking number. Once at your carrier's website, you will see a link (tracking, shipment tracking, tracking and e-mail notification…etc.) where you can enter your tracking number.

Enter your tracking number and an estimated date for delivery will be given to you. ABF will also provide you with a telephone number to their shipping terminal. The other carriers have a customer service number on their website. We recommend that (for ground freight deliveries, not UPS - standard) you contact your carrier via telephone to:
  • 1) Confirm that they have your correct delivery address
  • 2) Provide them with any special instructions for getting to your home, office, or project site
  • 3) Set up a delivery “window”.
Setting up a delivery window can be very helpful to you and it will save you the hassle of having to wait at your delivery location all day for your delivery. You or someone you know must be there to accept the order and to carry the boxes off of the truck. The truck drivers are usually very helpful and, in many cases, they will assist you with unloading your order. However, they are not required to do so. In the rare circumstance that you need a lift gate, there is an extra charge of $65.00.

All three of the above-referenced freight carriers are typically very careful with our deliveries. However, accidents do happen and people are human. Should one or more of your boxes look damaged (crushed, run over with a forklift…etc.), you should open the box and inspect it in front of the driver. If you open a box and a couple of pickets are bent on any of your fence panels, do not refuse the panels. We can expedite vertical pickets to you that can easily be replaced on-site (just unscrew the damaged picket and insert the new one) much faster than we can expedite a fully assembled panel to you. Make sure you make a notation on the delivery receipt that those pickets were damaged. NEVER refuse any items. Please take a couple of digital pictures and e-mail them to us so that we can expedite your replacement products.

Just because a box looks damaged, does not mean that the items inside are damaged. You must open up the box and confirm the damaged items in front of the truck driver. If any of your products turn out to be actually damaged, DO NOT refuse anything. Simply write on the delivery receipt what is damaged, take a couple of digital pictures and send them to info@unitedironworkusa.com or visit our Support Area and we will File a claim with the carrier and expedite replacement items to you. DO NOT refuse any items.

If the boxes look good (no visible damage), you should always write the following notation on your delivery receipt: “PRODUCT RECEIVED SUBJECT TO CONCEALED DAMAGE - SEVEN (7) DAY NOTICE REQUIRED“. The above notation will greatly assist us should it be necessary to file a freight claim for damages not visible to you on the date of delivery. United Iron Work USA or the freight carrier will not be liable for "claimed damages" that are made without this Delivery notation.

Please take a complete inventory of our shipment soon after delivery. If there are any issues, you must notify us within 3 weeks of the date of your delivery. It is strongly recommended that you do not schedule any installation dates until after you have received and inspected your aluminum fence shipment.

About 90% of our Residential customers install our fencing/gate systems themselves. Please view our Installation page and review it prior to installation.

In the event that you are having a 3rd party install your fencing/gate system, it is strongly recommended that you do not schedule your installation until after you have received your tracking number notification. Lead times and shipping times can vary. Refusal to accept delivery of your order could result in additional shipping fees. All items returned require a 25% restocking and storage fee. If you have to cancel an order you will need to provide us written notification within 48 hours after placing your order. All orders are made to order and cannot be cancelled after that period. Although we will do our best to get your order out as quickly as possible, holidays and peak season rushes sometimes can delay orders by a few days. We make no guarantee to ship any order on any date. We will, however, do our best to ship out your order as quickly as humanly possible. Orders with welded plates, custom sizes or any orders in hunter green or sandstone typically take up to an additional week to fabricate. Also, ground freight and UPS shipping times can vary so do not make installation arrangements until after you have received your shipping notification.
